Storm2 have partnered with a leader in the Crossborder Payments space to find their next Director of Business Development. Their mission is to revolutionize global payments and e-commerce solutions for businesses of all sizes. They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven candidate to join the launch team in North America. This role is pivotal in shaping the strategic growth and establishing our company as a leader in the fintech industry. They believe in fostering innovation, embracing challenges, and delivering exceptional value to our clients. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire high-value customers and increase market share in targeted segments.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads, focusing on enterprise clients, financial institutions, and platform partners.
- Pitch our offerings to C-level executives, emphasizing our global payment solutions and checkout options.
- Explore new business segments and define go-to-market strategies for emerging opportunities.
- Generate and exceed monthly forecasts for client acquisition and Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) from direct business.
- Represent the company at industry forums and drive below-the-line activities to enhance customer acquisition.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling value propositions for our services.
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
- Lead complex negotiations with C-suite executives of large and enterprise accounts.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in business development, solution sales, or account management, preferably in payments, e-commerce, or large merchant acquisitions.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding established business goals.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team while managing individual targets.
- Experience in driving operational excellence through innovative initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the payments and banking industry.
- Familiarity with B2B and Enterprise Customer Segments.
- Experience in direct sales for small businesses engaged in cross-border trade.
- Background in digital marketing, affiliate marketing, or social media.
- Proficiency with data analytics and Business Intelligence tools.
- Experience working in an international company.
This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while establishing business relationships and acquiring customers across North America. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a dynamic, startup environment and contributing to the strategic growth of operations.
