The Company

Storm2’s client is a Series A FinTech backed by two of the most recognised names in early-stage venture, building the growth platform for financial advisors. The problem they’re solving is simple to explain and genuinely hard to fix: great financial advisors exist, but the right clients can’t find them when it matters. They’re closing that gap with AI-powered tools that help advisors find, engage, and retain the people they can actually help.

They’ve raised $21M in total, are recognised as a leader in FinTech innovation, and are moving fast in a wealth management ecosystem that’s long overdue for this kind of product.

The Role

This isn’t a role where you pick up tickets and hand off to someone else. You’d own meaningful product surfaces end-to-end, from idea through to production, on a 3 to 6 week cadence. That means being in the room when product decisions get made, helping turn ambiguous ideas into clear technical requirements, and then building them yourself across backend and frontend with support from domain specialists where needed.

The person who thrives here thinks about engineering work in terms of user value and business impact first. They care what they’re building, not just how. They move fast, make tradeoffs explicit, and don’t need a lot of hand-holding when things are unclear.

Four things need to be true about you.

You’re technically strong across the full stack. Python, Go, TypeScript and React, Mongo, Postgres, AWS. You’ve worked on data-heavy systems in production and you’re comfortable with modern product infrastructure including jobs, orchestration, and observability.

You’re product-minded. You frame your work around what it does for the customer. You’re not waiting to be told what to build — you’re in the conversation about why.

You own things end-to-end. Features, product areas, outcomes. You see them through from concept to rollout and you feel the difference between something shipped and something finished.

You can operate in ambiguity. Early-stage, fast-moving, high-ownership. You’re comfortable when things are unclear and you make them clearer.
