Head of Product
Austin, Texas – On Site
$180,000 – $250,000 base
Our client is building modern payment infrastructure designed for the realities of B2B businesses. Focused on creating scalable, reliable technology that solves real operational and financial challenges – not just polished consumer experiences. They are early, moving fast, and looking for someone who wants to help define what “great product” looks like from the ground up.
Hiring a Head of Product to own and build the product function end-to-end. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, is comfortable wearing multiple hats, and is excited to turn ambiguity into momentum. You’ll be responsible for defining the product vision, building and owning the roadmap, and partnering closely with engineering, leadership, and customers to deliver high-quality B2B technology products.
What You’ll Do
- Own the product strategy and roadmap, from early discovery through launch and iteration
- Build a deep understanding of each stage of product development, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and execution across initiatives
- Act as a hands-on product leader – writing requirements, shaping solutions, and driving decisions, not just overseeing them
- Partner closely with engineering to translate technical constraints and opportunities into strong product outcomes
- Develop a strong understanding of the B2B payments ecosystem, including customer needs, workflows, and integrations
- Balance long-term vision with short-term execution in a fast-moving startup environment
- Serve as the internal voice of the customer while aligning product decisions with business goals
- Help establish product processes, metrics, and best practices as the company scales
What They Are Looking For
- Senior-level product experience with a proven track record of building and shipping technology products
- Experience as an early or first product hire at a startup, with the ability to step into a role that is still being defined
- Strong understanding of B2B products and platforms (payments, fintech, infrastructure, or enterprise tech preferred)
- A technical foundation – engineering background, hands-on coding experience, or extensive experience working closely with engineers
- Comfortable getting your hands full and being proactive, resourceful, and execution-oriented
- Ability to map complex systems, workflows, and integrations – not just consumer-centric UX
- Driven, hungry, and growth-oriented, with a mindset of continuous learning and development
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across teams
