The Role:
The Vice President of Payroll Sales is a key executive leader responsible for delivering scalable growth strategies, optimizing sales performance, and driving new business development across a multi-state region. This role involves leading and developing a team of Payroll Division Managers (PDMs) and Sales Professionals, ensuring they meet and exceed sales and recruitment targets while maintaining the company’s commitment to exceptional client service.
Responsibilities:
✅ Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Payroll Division Managers and Sales Professionals to achieve monthly sales and recruiting goals.
✅ Develop and execute a scalable sales strategy that drives revenue growth and expands market share.
✅ Foster a high-performance, entrepreneurial culture that models the company’s core values and customer-first philosophy.
✅ Conduct weekly PDM-level calls and quarterly regional calls to ensure consistency in vision, messaging, and execution.
✅ Recruit, onboard, and develop top sales talent to continuously grow the payroll sales team.
✅ Work cross-functionally with Payments, Point of Sale, and Financial Institution sales channels to drive synergy and revenue.
✅ Stay ahead of payroll industry trends, serving as a thought leader and innovator.
✅ Provide coaching, mentorship, and business planning guidance to team members, ensuring individual and team success.
Skills & Qualifications:
📌 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of formal training and relevant work experience.
📌 3-5+ years of leadership experience in outside sales, preferably in payroll, HCM, or payments.
📌 Proven ability to build, scale, and lead high-performing sales teams.
📌 Expertise in sales management, pipeline development, and coaching sales professionals.
📌 Strong entrepreneurial mindset, customer focus, and work ethic.
📌 Ability to identify issues, course correct, and lead through change.
📌 Proficiency in CRM tools, Excel, and digital collaboration platforms.
