The Company

Storm2’s client is a SF-headquartered wealth platform using AI to bring institutional-grade financial tools to a broader global audience. Think private market access, alternative assets, and intelligent investment strategies, packaged for people who’ve historically been locked out of them. They’re building something with genuine ambition in a space that’s been slow to move.

The Role

Most full-stack roles sit on either side of the stack in practice. This one doesn’t.

You’ll own features end-to-end, from the interface a customer sees to the APIs and infrastructure running underneath it. The product is financial, which means the work is genuinely consequential and the bar for correctness is high. You’ll be involved in architectural decisions, not just executing against a spec, and you’ll work directly with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ship things that reach real customers.

The team moves fast and values people who can hold both the detail and the bigger picture. If you’ve worked in trading platforms or financial systems before, that context will be immediately useful. If you haven’t, the expectation is that you pick it up quickly and care about getting it right.

What you’ll be working on:

• Designing and building features across frontend and backend, from UI to APIs to databases
• Contributing to system design reviews and architectural decisions
• Setting up logging, monitoring, and alerting for deployed services (Sentry, Datadog)
• Integrating with APIs, third-party services, and cloud infrastructure
• Building frameworks for experimentation, feature flags, and data-driven product development
• Participating in incident response and on-call rotations
• Driving code quality through reviews and engineering best practices

What you’ll bring:

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience
• Solid backend experience in Python
• Proficiency in a modern frontend framework: React, Vue, or Angular
• Strong grasp of RESTful APIs, microservices, and both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience working in fast-paced product environments where you’ve shipped things independently
• Clear communication and collaborative instincts across technical and non-technical teams
• Exposure to trading platforms or financial systems is a genuine advantage
