💲 $150,000 – $210,000 Base + Equity + Full Benefits
 
A recently funded Series A fintech start-up based in Chicago is looking to hire a senior software engineer (full stack) to help build their AI-powered SaaS platform for payments and business management. They are looking to disrupt the $100B+ rental industry by building an end-to-end product that will help businesses improve and facilitate their payments, operations, marketing and accounting processes.
 
This role would allow you to have a great impact on the company by making business-minded decisions and providing you with full ownership of the products and features you will be building. You will report directly to the CTO and will be part of a sociable team, focused on collaboration. The ideal candidate is someone willing to work hybrid, 3 days a week in Chicago, with strong full stack experience and previous success in an early-stage start-up environment.
 
Responsibilities:

• Build, design and develop new products and features from the ground up
• Collaborate within the engineering team to produce and deliver the right solutions
• Have a user-centric mindset, looking for constant feedback from clients and reflecting that into the products
• Make daily business-minded decisions, impacting the architecture and integrations to improve delivery and functionality
• Constantly optimize a fast-moving process that will consistently be iterated and developed

 
Requirements:

• 4+ years of software engineering experience in a full stack position
• Strong experience with Typescript (Next.js, React)
• Previous experience at an early-stage start-up
• Experience with payments and accounting technology is strongly preferred
• Actively using AI tools to work quicker and experience integrating AI into product workflows
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excited to gain ownership over a product and looking to have a strong impact on the company
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, focused on rapid growth and adaptability to change
