Position Overview
Seeking a highly motivated Accounting Analyst to join a dynamic remote finance team. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial operations in a fast-evolving digital asset environment. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting fundamentals with curiosity and adaptability in emerging financial technologies.
 
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes and management reporting.
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and assist with variance analysis.
• Prepare financial statements and internal reports for leadership and stakeholders.
• Support inventory tracking and financial controls for both fiat and digital asset holdings.

Digital Asset Accounting

• Record and reconcile cryptocurrency and stablecoin transactions across wallets and platforms.
• Track reserve balances and collateral backing ratios.
• Assist with valuation and fair value measurement for digital and traditional assets.
• Maintain precise documentation of digital asset movements and balances.

Compliance & Controls

• Assist in implementing and maintaining internal control frameworks and financial procedures.
• Support audit readiness, providing documentation and coordination with external auditors.

Operations Support

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Assist with treasury operations, including fund transfers and account reconciliations.

 
Must Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting or financial operations experience.
• Background in financial services, fintech, or blockchain-based organizations with digital asset accounting or cryptocurrency transactions.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Active CPA (certification or candidacy)

 
Qualifications

• Proficiency with accounting systems and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
• Advanced skills in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., FinCEN, SEC, CFTC).
• Understanding of blockchain explorers and exchange platforms.
• Exposure to APIs or automated data feeds for financial reporting.
