The engineering team operates in a high-ownership, high-impact environment where performance, reliability, and precision truly matter.
 
The Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will architect and scale the core infrastructure behind a real-time digital investing platform. This includes building the systems that power trading execution, financial data pipelines, and revenue-critical billing workflows.
 
You’ll operate at the heart of a high-performance, data-intensive environment where reliability, latency, and accuracy are essential. Working cross-functionally with Product, Data, and Investment teams, your focus will be designing robust distributed systems that can ingest and serve large volumes of financial data with precision.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop high-performance backend systems that support trading, analytics, and core platform functionality
• Lead the design and optimization of market data ingestion and processing pipelines across multiple external and internal sources
• Build and maintain scalable APIs (REST and/or gRPC) for both internal services and external integrations
• Drive architectural decisions across microservices, event-driven frameworks, and real-time streaming systems
• Implement best practices in observability, monitoring, and fault tolerance to ensure system resilience and uptime
• Collaborate closely with frontend, data, and product teams to translate business requirements into robust backend solutions
• Stay aligned with evolving trading standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements relevant to financial systems

 
Requirements

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 2 years within fintech, trading, or other high-reliability domains
• Strong Python expertise
• Experience building and scaling data-intensive systems (batch + real-time)
• Has worked with market data feeds, OMS, or electronic trading platforms
