About the Company

We are partnered with a Series B, venture-backed WealthTech company building modern software for private market investors. The platform supports complex investment workflows across sourcing, diligence, portfolio management, and reporting, with AI positioned as a core differentiator rather than a supporting feature.

As the business scales, AI is central to how the product evolves, how insights are delivered, and how customers gain an edge in increasingly competitive private markets.

The Role

This role exists to own the company’s AI vision and execution end-to-end. As Chief AI Officer, you will define the long-term AI strategy while ensuring delivery of production-grade systems that materially improve the product and customer experience.

You’ll operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on technical authority, partnering closely with Product and Engineering leadership to keep the platform AI-forward as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and own the long-term AI strategy aligned with company and product objectives
• Lead the development of AI-driven capabilities across the investment lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, underwriting, portfolio monitoring, risk analysis, and reporting
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to embed AI into scalable, production-ready systems
• Oversee model development, evaluation, and deployment across LLMs, NLP, predictive modelling, and embeddings
• Establish best practices for AI governance, model performance, and reliability
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing AI and ML organisation
• Translate emerging AI capabilities into tangible customer and commercial value

Requirements / Who We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of experience across AI, machine learning, or applied data science
• Prior leadership experience in a startup or high-growth technology environment
• Proven ability to take AI-driven products from concept through to production
• Strong familiarity with modern AI and ML stacks and cloud-based infrastructure
• Background in FinTech, investment technology, or B2B SaaS environments
• Exposure to private markets such as PE, VC, private credit, or real assets is a strong plus
• Strategic thinker who remains hands-on and technically credible
