Role Overview:
They are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Director of Sales & Business Development to lead our sales strategy and drive the growth of client pipeline. This is a highly visible, hands-on role, focused on expanding our market presence, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders in the financial services and regulatory technology sectors. You will play a pivotal role in positioning the company as a leader in financial crime detection, credit risk, and data-driven risk management.
This role requires someone with a deep understanding of the financial services industry, strong sales acumen, and a passion for delivering value to clients through innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Growth: Drive significant growth in the sales pipeline by identifying new business opportunities, targeting high-potential clients, and developing long-term relationships with key decision-makers in the financial services, risk management, and regulatory sectors.
- Business Development: Actively prospect and develop a strong network of potential clients, including financial institutions, fintech companies, and professionals in need of data-driven risk solutions for financial crime detection, credit risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Consultative Selling: Understand client needs and challenges to provide tailored solutions that address their risk management, compliance, and financial crime detection requirements. Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to highlight the value of our technology.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute sales strategies, sales forecasts, and growth plans in alignment with company objectives and market trends. Track and report on sales performance and metrics.
- Partnerships & Networking: Cultivate strong relationships with industry influencers, partners, and prospects to position [Company Name] as a trusted advisor in the RegTech space.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to position [Company Name] ahead of market shifts and to identify new sales avenues.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years of proven sales and business development experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the RegTech, fintech, or financial services sectors.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial crime detection, credit risk, regulatory compliance, and data-driven risk management solutions.
- Track Record of Success: Demonstrated history of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets, driving revenue growth, and building a robust sales pipeline.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically while executing tactically; capable of developing and implementing actionable sales strategies.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives, deliver impactful presentations, and negotiate complex deals.
- Relationship Building: Skilled in building long-term, trusted relationships with clients, partners, and industry leaders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
