This is an opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure leader to join an African Fintech valued at over $3 billion after their Series D funding round. The ideal candidate will have deep infrastructure knowledge and has worked in a hands on capacity as an engineering lead. AWS and Axure experience is key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the infrastructure strategy and roadmap aligned with the company’s goals, with a strong emphasis on cloud technologies.
• Lead and manage a team of infrastructure professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and high performance culture.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and management of cloud based infrastructure solutions, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with other technology leaders, including the CTO, to align infrastructure initiatives with overall technology strategies and business objectives.
• Monitor and maintain the overall health and performance of infrastructure systems, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues or bottlenecks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a
  leadership or managerial role.
• Extensive experience working with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or other leading cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including networking, servers, storage, virtualization, and containerization.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing infrastructure teams, including experience in talent acquisition, development, and performance management.
• Solid understanding of security and compliance requirements related to cloud infrastructure.
• Enjoys being hands-on and diving into the nuts-and-bolts of infrastructure.
• Payments or Fintech start-up experience.
