The Role
As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll serve as a technical leader and force multiplier across our engineering organization. This is a senior individual contributor role with outsized scope. You’ll own complex, high-impact systems, set technical direction, and elevate the engineers around you. Your work will shape the foundation of our platform and help scale to meet the demands of a rapidly growing client base.
Key responsibilities:

Architect and drive complex, cross-functional technical initiatives from conception to production, with a focus on scalability and long-term maintainability.

Set technical direction for core platform systems, making informed trade-offs to ensure performance, security, and reliability at scale.

Partner with product, design, and data teams to define and deliver high-impact features end to end, influencing roadmap decisions with technical insight.

Mentor and level up engineers across the team through code reviews, design discussions, and hands-on technical guidance.

Identify and resolve systemic engineering challenges, including technical debt, infrastructure gaps, and cross-team bottlenecks that impact velocity.

8+ years of experience building and scaling web-based software products.

A track record of owning and delivering complex technical projects with measurable cross-team impact.

Deep expertise in full-stack development, distributed systems, or large-scale backend architecture.

Experience influencing technical direction and driving alignment across teams without formal authority.

Excellent communication skills — you can articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience in the fintech space or building on investment platforms.

Prior experience as a founding or early-stage engineer at a fast-growing startup.

Background in building developer tooling, internal platforms, or infrastructure to improve engineering efficiency at scale.
