About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a high-growth global payments infrastructure company that is transforming the way money moves across borders. Backed by leading investors and experiencing rapid expansion across North America, they’re looking for an experienced Business Development Director to drive new client acquisition and accelerate commercial growth.
This is a true hunter role for someone who thrives on opening new markets, building strategic relationships, and closing complex enterprise deals within the payments ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation, closing, and client onboarding.
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to build a high-quality pipeline across financial institutions, fintechs, payment service providers, digital platforms, marketplaces, and enterprise merchants.
- Identify and win new strategic accounts while expanding the company’s presence across North America.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders including founders, C-suite executives, and product leaders.
- Partner closely with internal product, implementation, compliance, and customer success teams to ensure successful launches and long-term account growth.
- Consistently exceed revenue targets through disciplined pipeline management and execution.
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience within the payments, fintech, banking, or financial services industry.
- Demonstrated success selling payment infrastructure, cross-border payments, payment processing, banking solutions, or related financial technology.
- Strong network across fintechs, banks, payment service providers (PSPs), digital wallets, marketplaces, and e-commerce businesses.
- Proven history of exceeding sales quotas and closing complex, high-value commercial agreements.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with exceptional prospecting, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Fluent in English.
